Welcome, I do think this is the most friendly forum on the site.

As you say small steps and please stop saying IF I can do this.
YOU WILL do this. It is only hard in the begining, gets easier and more FUN as you get into it.

    Hello everyone!

Really trying to keep away from the shops today. The only thing that might tempt me is the T Roll offer in Mr*C:o Not sure yet though.

Can't decide what to have for dinner tonight yet, as teatime is a bit of a muddle. Have to pop out to the post office, DH has an appointment with the Dr., think he might be in there ages:( Then we have to take the dog and the rabbit to the vet for check ups and vaccinations. Glad that bill isn't coming out of my GC budget.

Ooohh I'm so cold today, I think I might make some HM soup. Managed to get 12 whoopsied eggs in Mr*S last night, so might do something with those too. There's bread to make too.

Happy shopping everyone, hope we don't get too much snow tonight.

    Hi everyone!

I still don't need to buy anything!

Breakfast was a whoopsied bread roll toasted with butter and Marmite (*drools*), lunch is honeyed carrot soup (2 WW points!) and dinner is roasted vegetable cous cous. All batch cooked. If I need snacks I have Weetabix Brownies and Malt Loaf left still. I also have yoghurts etc.

I've just realised that I'm being a bit silly by keeping myself so very stocked up while living at parents.

    I have for storage:
    - 1 wall cupboard (3 small shelves - grains/pasta top, herbs etc middle, coffee, tea, salt, stock etc bottom)
    - 1 half of a unit cupboard (one biggish shelf on the bottom for heavy stuff so all tins and jarred sauces)
    - 1 small fridge shelf anf 1 small fridge drawer
    - 1 small freezer shelf

I have so much in the way of tins etc and while living here there's just no need. I'm not struggling for money so I'm in no danger of running out of food or anything like that. I do want to stock up on bargains, but half the time I just buy multiples of things for the sake of it.

I could post an excerpt from my stock spreadsheet, but it may scare people just how much I am cramming into not a lot of storage.

Should I focus on trying to use up stocks? I'm beginning to feel I should.

When I move out I can build up more stocks as I'll have the room, but I'm struggling for space, particularly with the freezer at the mo!

As you say you dont need to do it,I would concentrate on using
up and get as much cash as possible into savings, then when you move you have the means to stock up on the bargains.:)

Afternoon all, feeling a little sore after a dentist visit (you would think she was drilling for gold the way she went at my poor tooth ) popping in to declare spends of £34 so far this week (mainly on rubbish ) have a trip to a£da tomorrow so am expecting to go over for this week as its half term next week (will probably use the BB purse) need bread onions cooked meats etc etc but have my meal plan done for next week.
I have recieved my tes%o vouchers and also a £9 off a £60 shop but am finding it difficult to get £60 of food in my basket  but with the vouchers i could claim £17.50 off so i will keep trying.
Today has been another NSD :D (dont include GB) and i am proud to declare that i payed a debt off this week :T:T:T £120 out of my savings gone but its better than paying the £388 (origional payment) in monthly payments. I have had to put the heating on  as its soooooo cold, i usually refuse to put it on till 3 for when i pick the kids up and get them home but i cant seem to get warm today :(.

Just done my weekly in MrTs, £52.16 - eek, but we did need toilet roll lol. Bargain of the day - I know it was full price, but I only need 1" ginger, so a broke off a 1" piece - 3p yeah.

I get so stressed shopping, especially when they don't have what i need and have to buy a more expensive version. On the plus side still within budget.

Hope you all having a good day

i know i swear we're just passing it between ourselves at this point :( i'm hoping we will all be back to normal tomorrow, can't see the kids being at school til monday tho, there still very pale and drowsy but keeping food down so will hopefully perk up soon.

we've only used 1 bottle of milk this whole week, i usually buy 4 on a monday and 3 of a friday :o i bought 2 on monday in the filling station and i acually had to tell hubby he needed to drink it cause none of us could so he drank about 1.5 litres last night, he loves milk but he won't drink it cause he wants to leave some for the kids i keep telling him it's easy enough to grab more :rotfl:

  • Hi

Spend of £51 in Mr T's this morning, though most of that was on things unrelated to groceries as my sil has just had a little girl :) so bought some bits and pieces for her and some activity book thingy's to take with us when we go and visit to keep my two occupied, I have a feeling the novelty of having a new baby cousin may not last too long ;) but I'm going to leave it all in groceries total at the moment as we're away from Saturday night to weds night next week, so hopefully my target is still achievable :)
  • Hi

My DH uses a G*ll*tt** Mach 3 Razor (the older one) and the blades cost a fortune. Nearly 18.00 for 12 in Mr T.

I was in town today and noticed in 'Savers' that you could buy a Mach 3 Razor with 1 blade in plus 15 extra blades for 19.99. I umed and aghed (decision making or spelling is not a strongpoint with me without research) and decided that it was a good deal. Works out at approx 1.25 per blade (any other razor and he looks like hes been in a knife fight :o) so not worth changing.

Might venture into town again tomorrow and get another pack (well they wont go off:D) plus there is a farmers market tomorrow expensive but worth a look.

Thought it might help others who use the same razor.
