Good day today, MrT's £26.85, forgot a couple of things, but DP has says we can manage without them. Worked this morning, which stopped me snacking - so money and diet saved lol. Fish and HM Chips, beans & Salad for dinner
Thanks to Helen and everyone else for this great thread - I feel being accountable will make me stick to the budget.0 -
Small spend today here of £3.45, I did spend more but used staff discount card and nectar points to bring it down a bit. :money:
Was worried about the snow so got some essentials (bread/milk) just in case. Needed a few cleaning bits and bobs and some packed lunch stuff for kids too.

Popped into the co-op today to buy a lettuce, ended up leaving with an overflowing bag as they were pricing up whoopsied carrots and parsnips, ended up spending £8.23, mainly on whoopsies but that included 3 meals for dh and I and heaps of veg plus cottage cheese and cheese spread for another meal. Will update sig now.
Hope everyone keeps warm and has a good weekendGC 2023 June £72/500 NSDs 1/100 -

Well first spends today, and it was in Cool Trader - keep forgetting about that place, at last somewhere where prices in frozen stuff has not gone up or sizes down so spent £8 but for that I got enough meat( beef/lamb/mince) for two weeks plus the veg to go with it so that with what I have in should be enough for evening meals - I know I have some fish in freezer also eggs. No use having pure vegetable options as hubby likes beef, fish, chicken or mince with every meal. Tonight we had soup - one packet of casserole mix, 3 chicken cubes and 2 vegetable ones, barley, lentils and yellow split peas. I think I over did the barley as soup had no liquid left, you could stand a spoon up in it, but it was delicious. I served it with a reduced price french stick ( 3ft long and 10p in Mr S. Am low in pulses so will have to get some more later in month, but have enough for another couple of soups. Stock cubes I bought in when on special for 10p a packet last year and have enough to splash out as did today quite a few times. So also popped into MR S and got milk ( gone up to £1.18 for 4 pints 1% fat milk or 2 for £2, was going to buy 3 but will wait till next week to buy another two) and that french stick so will update cig with my massive spends. So feel quite good at what I bought for a massive £10.10.
Hubby wants to take breakfast bars with him on Sunday for his bowls - he is out from around 6.30am till 6pm and likes to eat them for lunch, but at 99p for 5 no way am I paying that, have some recipes and all the ingredients in so will make some tomorrow, he enjoyed the ones I made a while ago.Need to get back to getting finances under control now kin kid at uni as savings are zilch

Hi
Spent £20.07 in Mr T's in the end  bought some lovely looking steak for tea :j but very happy that I choose a cheaper cut of steak than I would have chosen a couple of months ago
As well as bits for tea tonight I also got some of their own brand washing up liquid that was on offer and some hula hoops again on offer.
Off to update sig0 -
Just to update spent £5.09 in mr m on milk, bananas, apples and mushrooms. Also bought packet of half price sweets for dd; her BFF had been showing off about the sweets she was taking to brownie panto so felt couldn't send my poor girl with a couple of biscuits! :rotfl:
Anyone else noticed the loose apples are priced per kilo, packaged apples per fruit, so you can't compare prices? Bit sneaky methinks, glad I have taken the majority of my custom to !id!

NSD today, just been doing my shopping list for tom. We'll be shopping in Mr T, as they have cookie crisp cereal on offer for £1 a box instead of £2.06, so a good saving. Don't need too much, so will get that and then have a look at the ys, but our te$co never do great ones for the time I'm going. That's not a bad thing though as I'm really trying hard to empty a bit of my freezer so I can do an inventory! I'd love to have a shelf for hm meals, a shelf for meat, a shelf for bread and milk and a shelf for veggies, then that'll leave a last shelf for random stuff. Trouble is, that can't happen til I have eaten about half of the contents!!!
