Well a little spend of £12.09 in L!dl today for milk, fruit and cereal. That will do us til the weekend and DH and I are away fri-sun and the kids are at my mums so no spends til sunday on milk and bread I hope.

Beef curry for tea tonight and have made crispy cakes with the kids and yoghurt cake. We have a playdate tomorrow but got mini pizzas in the freezer and with the cakes we've made today didn't need to buy anything!

Ladies who shop in L!dls, do they sell puff pastry? If yes where in the shop do they stock it? Also, does anyone have a recipe for sausage rolls or steak pie? I'm a complete novice when it comes to pastry so be gentle plz :rotfl:

Have a good week everyone xx

Have just been catching up with the thread, unfortunately I don't have time to read all of it but just wanted to send some extra squishy hugs to LivingProof. I can't pretend to know what you are going through but hope that you have lots of support around you to lift your heart when its heavy xxx

No spends to report, but tempted to do the onion and potato soup, tried that recipe elsiepac posted a few years ago and it was gorgeous, and of course very cheap to make. I'll have to find a way to add some extra calories for OH though, I don't think he gets enough eating my vegetarian stuff :(

did quite well as tonight have managed to eek out an extra portion from a little bit in a bag of pasta that i thought wouldn't even do one dinner...

Been waaaaaaaaaaaay too busy this month to keep up with the OS threads. Which means meal planning has completely gone out of the window. Grocery shopping is just about on track but only because OH offered to pay for the A!di shop last weekend - if I'd known he was going to do that, I'd have chucked loads more in the trolley!

Dilemma tonight is do I go to a supermarket to but potatoes so we can have shepherds pie tonight. Or do I live without spuds till we can go to the market at weekend and buy them loads cheaper? Which would mean doing some sort of pasta bolognaise tonight a) which OH hates and b) with lamb mince which might be a bit weird. I'm thinking some form of store cupboard surprise on a theme of bolognaise tonight followed up with curry&rice tomorrow - his favourite, to make up for tonight!

Anyway, reporting in a couple of spends at A$da so I'm currently at £126.59 / £200 for Feb. Promise to try and catch up this week!

    Thanks Numbo,
My budget was £250 for me and my 2 chidren, so plenty really.
I just dont seem to be able to stay away from supermarket for some reason! I love food shopping, i love supermarkets and i just seem to aways end up there!
I am going to have to make sure i dont go into a supermarket/shop as much as before i guess.

Yes, its the sweets, crisps, chocoate and wine thats been my main downfall i think.
