Morning
Another spend day yesterday buying my third WW pedometerThe first one I left on a bus and the second met its maker in the washing machine
Today I'm going out for dinner with friends, but it's budgeted for and as long as I spend less than £10 I'm not counting it as a spendy day.
How many days is it till the end of Lent? I'm giving up non-WW chocolate0 -

As a child I just accepted it started on Ash Wednesday and the last day was the day before Easter Sunday - but have come to realise that makes for 46 days
On another forum there was some discussion about this on Tuesday, and a couple of people said that the Sundays aren't counted - which I make 40 days with the same start and end days
Others said it ends on Maundy Thursday, to allow people to get ready for Easter - but I make that one 43 or 44 days depending on whether or not you count the Thursday (including Sundays)
So that suggested the most likely would appear to be the 'excluding Sundays' - and I've found something via G00gle to back that up - which means we can all have a binge day every weekCheryl0 -

Loving the Enid Blyton chat! I adored her books as a child, my granny used to send me postal orders ( seven and six in old money:rotfl:) for bdays and Christmas and I used them to buy my books. I used to dream of tuck shops and midnight feasts and lots of adventures. I remember being really upset when I found out that the "pc" mob loathed her work and discouraged the reading of Enid Blyton in schools. She was felt to be too middle class etc. Well, I wasnt exactly born with a silver spoon and I loved all the stories about boarding schools and jolly japes!
I truly believe her books instilled in me a lifelong love of reading........so there! Oops, that was a wee rant!:o
Rising - I hope you are feeling better today - sometimes you just need a duvet day. Dont be hard on yourself, that's an order!
Good morning to all my NSD fellows!
I'm struggling a bit with the old NSD'S this month, so could I please adjust my target to 10? That seems a bit more realistic !
I seem to have a lot of things to buy this month and my head is all over the place after all the carry on at work.
Today I am going to WW, getting my legs waxed ( cheap at the college) getting my hair cut this afternoon and I have a birthday present to buy. Whew!
Congrats LMH - fantastic news, so pleased for you!:T
Have a great day everyone:)
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0 -

Forgot to say that I love this!
I'll join you for Lent red,LMH and cw18.I'm going to give up chocolate, though not for religious reasons, but to see if it makes a difference to my waistline.I have to say that chocolate is my downfall...Just remembered that i had some chocolate last night,so I'll start from today.
Thanks for thr words of encouragement freeby but today is going to be a spend day.My framed London Underground poster is ready to be picked up,which means paying the remaining fee and then getting a taxi home.
So stuck on #14,but hopefully will get one tomorrow.
Happy Thursday everyone!0 -
