Evening all, a tiny £1.12 for me tonight as eBay have refunded me some fees... but as snow is forecast I've been asked to work a night shift tomorrow (boo) but the overtime money will be fab!
  • Best wishes to all those feeling down, for whatever reason, and to those going for a lie down outside for a good reason :)

  • Evening all.

What could have been an expensive day for me turned out not to be, so all is good.

I am pleased to report a further 6.99 from sales, a free £15 M&S voucher thanks to the LivingSocial deal today and my referrals, a free Valentines card which I am counting as 2.99 as I would easily have spent that on one anyway and £8 from a scratchcard.

This bring my Feb total to £50.08 so far.:T

    One word Nat, NO! :D

Fracturedsun, that's great hun - how nice of your Dad :j I think personally you should treat yourself also.. it was unexpected money and you might not get the chance again :o *chants* do it, do it, do it... :D

I'm still fed up, even more so now as we've had our home insurance renewal quote through and due to the two burglary claims in the last year it's doubled. :( DH has been hunting round but we've been burgled three times in the last 2 years so the quotes are just horrendous _pale_

Now going to have some alcohol, might cheer me the hell up.

Just to echo all the ((((hugs))))) sent out to Aesop, Sweetpeas and anyone else feeling out of sorts. Its horrible when you feel stressed out and jittery. I know its a bit cheesy, but I do believe that you get back what you give out in the long run - so that means that there should be plenty of positive encouraging things on the horizon for both of you.

Lavinia - the ((((((blankets)))))) made me chuckle so I thought I would send you some more. Wow - not for the faint hearted so a big huge enormous good luck with that! Let us know how you get on. Great cause - it just goes to show that no matter what is going on in life you can generally stop and count your blessings and appreciate the simple things like a warm bed and food.

I am so glad it is Friday! 3 days off work now so plan to get some serious Ebay action on the boil. Adding £3 money saved on lunch and that is as good as it gets for me today.

ps. YES YES YES to chocolate Nat!!
pps. As above with the alcohol SP!

yipee to alcohol, I have none. Black Grape finished, might be hot chocolate.

anyway about insurance quote, have you tried Swintons? Also have you added any preventative measures to your home that you can tell insurance company about? Ie, you always double lock your doors even when you are at home, you have marked all your stuff with the special pen you can get, that you register in your name, and if your stuff gets burgled, and the police find it, they can return to you as it is marked?

have you had the stickers on your window saying stuff is marked, burglar beware?

don't give up hun. try the smaller companies, don't just hunt the big ones.
