Hi gang
I'm trying to watch the netflix us version which everyone says is easy to set up.
I need some help with unblock-us. I've signed up for the 7 day trial, changed the settings on my wdtv smp and tried unsuccessfully to change any DNS settings on my sky router.
I've restarted the wdtv smp and my laptop but to no avail.
Please help, I'm driving my wife nuts with my huffing and puffing.

When I did it on the ps3 I just changed the dns settings on that and never touched the router, but I do have my ps3 set as a static ip which may have made a difference:)0

OK I've now got it working on my PC and I used Pandora.com to check whether I could access US website - and it worked!
But how do I know if I'm getting the US Netflix on my PC and not the UK one?0 -
Go to any site that will analyse your ip and you can find out (such as geoiptool.com). If it says the US then its working.
Another superior way to bypass this is to use a vpn/proxy service based in the US.0 -
Is it me being too fussy or is Netflix in the US not much better than the UK's version in terms of breadth of content?
What titles - TV or film - should I be looking out for in the US version which are not available in the UK?0 -
Netflix in USA will have more content. Could be down to copyright restrictions or what they think UK viewers want to see.
As for what to look out for, that more down to what you want to watch.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -
I've been using unblock-us which is supposedly giving me access to the us netflix.
So my question is - what titles should I be looking for in the us version of netflix to prove that I'm actually viewing the us version and not the uk version? Both website look identical (US and UK) but it's obviously the content which is different.
Can anyone help?
Many thanks0 -
I found there is a wider choice of films on the US Netflix, but they also have lots more TV series:)
Like Ice road truckers, deadliest catch, axe men, swamp loggers.
Also they have the 3rd series of Breaking Bad, which imo is a must watch series, series 1&2 are on the Uk version;)
The easiest way I was able to tell that I was on the US site was my previous viewing wasn't showing.0 -
From what I've seen of the US netflix content - I'm completely underwhelmed esp re: movies.
I can get the latest tv eps via my sky box and I was really hoping netflix might deliver on the movie side esp via the US.
I don't think I will continue my subscription beyond the 1 month trial.0 -
Have you tried resetting your DNS setting? While I'm not familiar with Unblock-us, but it seems like they are using similar technology like UnoTelly.com
For UnoTelly, all you need to do reset your DNS setting and re-enter their address again. After that, you will need to reboot your device.0 -
