A mad man running full steam ahead with a spanner and a toolbox.

He could do with slowing down a bit.

Mind you that would slow down the amount of equity hes building up in his house as hes currently adding 10 to 20ks worth of value every week with that toolbox:D

Shame you couldn't do the same for your "mam", as you call her.

Sounds like she produced a right toolbox with you !

Even though I'm a homeowner I'm very pleased with the falling house prices in my area giving others a chance to get a step on the housing market ladder. Long may it continue.

    Really?

You like seeing more people out of a job and the economy back in recession?

    Shame on you....:naughty:

No, I like to see people getting the chance to buy affordable property. I'm not selfish like you.

And how will they do that without a job?
    I'm not selfish like you.

    Oh but you are....

Everybody has seen what happens to the economy and unemployment when house prices fall.

So only a raving lunatic would wish for a house price crash.

You cant stop it now hamish, its already here.

House prices only ever go up, right up until the decision is made to push them back down again.

They've got jobs. I was talking about house prices lowering and didn't even mentioned a house price crash. Learn to read.

Everybody has seen what happens to the economy and unemployment when house prices fall.

The problem with your theory is that it will always have a ceiling.

If unemployment reaches say 0.2%, does that mean house prices can no longer increase?

I'm sure your argument would be very different in this case.

They won't have if house prices fall significantly.;)
I was talking about house prices lowering

Lower prices have led to a 50% fall in the number of people able to buy a house so far.
