old barclaycard ppi advice please

hi ive gone thro my old statements i had a barclaycard sense with 4000 limit..i cleared it back in 2002,ive always been self employed and never asked for ppi as i never thought it would be of use to me..however all my statements ive found had it on them..some months i was paying £39 plus..ive won my new barclaycard case and got refund of over 8000..ive sent letter off again..im sure they are goin to say they have no records as its long ago..whats my plan if they do as i want to be one step ahead of them..i do the claim expecting nothing-but after they upheld the other id like reund as i never had a clue they were charging it

Use the reasons you used for the first card as to why you were mis sold.
Make copies of the statements you have to prove you paid ppi,as they may need these.

thks amersall ive about 15-20 months of charges ppi i can prove but it was obviously there from the start i presume..would a sar help..or will they have all my old statements..really angry never knew i was paying for it

Not sure if a SAR will help,due to the year this was paid off,if you win redress with this,they usually go back 6 years,if they dont,you should send them copies of the statements you have and they will redress with the proof you have.
