I have a brother dcp 340cw printer and I think it needs a good clean/service, any tips on how I go about doing it,

Routine maintenance and cleaning is described in the User Guide.
You can download it from the Brother website.
These printers are not designed to be disassembled by the end-user - I would not recommend any of the repair procedures in the Service Manual unless it is actually defective.0 -
