in Credit cards
In a follow-up to last weeks programme Watchdog reported the following.
A Chip & PIN fraud victim lost considerable amounts on 2 cards to fraud. Her card issuer didn't believe her and insinutated she was a liar when she told them she hadn't disclosed her PIN, written down etc etc. The victim was a police officer of 17 years. What chance has the rest of us, when it comes to alleged PIN negligence?
I'd like to thank Watchdog for bringing to the attention of the public that consumers can opt for Chip & Signature Cards. As Watchdog pointed out cardholders are covered with a signature but NOT with a PIN.
Got a credit card - Bin your PIN.

That was a great show but even the lady who spoke on behalf of the customer didnt seem to be up to speed.
Sadly good old customer is guilty again and for what, doing what the banks want us to do....0 -
From The Daily Mail:
"if the transactions are made with the original card and Pin. In a case such as this, it's highly unlikely you'd get a refund, since it would suggest you had not kept your Pin safe"
No PIN = No CardHolder Liability for Fraudulent Transactions.
Why take the chance with a PIN? - It could cost you dear.
