    What is an inverter board/module? i've heard that mentioned when doing a google search. Could that be a possible source of the problem?

    I've seen asus screens on ebay for £40-50 is worst comes to worst.
    Where would you get a replacement ribbon cable from?
    Also heard lvds and 2IN1 cable mentioned.

    Found some dismanteling info if someone stumbles across this thread and would like it.

    Asus agreed with me when i asked if it could be the LVDS cable. They send me some link as to where i could get another one if i needed to. Just need to get the courage to open it up now lol. Desktops are easy, laptops are a bit more delicate and awkward

    Its not the inverter. It is either the screen cable or the screen. Cable is cheapest so start with that.
