Faster Payments question

Do faster payments work on weekends? I coudn't find any info online.

I'm expecting an FPI payment to my LLoyds account which was supposed to be made yesterday evening, but the money isn't there yet

When I've transferred between unrelated banks via FP, they're credited the same day no matter which day it is (in fact I did two yesterday). So I'm sure someone will correct me if they've found otherwise, but in my experience faster payments are definitely credited the same day no matter what (I have noticed that the faster payments screen on Halifax says that it CAN take up to 2 hours though).

What time of the day yesterday was the money sent? Also you say "which was supposed"... was it a scheduled payment, or something you did manually? (Just to clarify.)
  • I think you'll have the money on Monday, as if it's after a certain time of day it then goes the next working day.

Without knowing where it was sent from it's an impossible question to answer.

Edit: But if you want to educate yourself on Faster Payments this is a good starting point.
