hi , just thought i'd ask good old mse'rs for advice again re: guttering.
old wood gutters need to be repaired/replaced
have been quoted 1200 to replace with plastic guttering and fascias
half that amount to repair/replace faulty wooden ones.
also on quote states that twinplas will be used.
if i go for replacing with plastic i will want best quality that looks like wood, as house is a fairly old , early 1900 build.
plastic semi-circular ones look so odd on these houses, so i wont want those.
also , whats the difference between ogee and twinplas, (if any) have
googled but not much luck .
one of the builders stated that i should not remove the wooden brackets that the gutter sits on, (are these the fascias). is that advisable, bearing in mind that i want to keep with character of house.
thanks to anyone who can shed some light on this.
any comments on quote price would be appreciated.

Well, I found both ogee and twinplas and fair picturs of both sections on the first google of each. So what it is you need to know?
Ogee is I believe originally a pressed steel - or maybe cast - section. Twinplas seem to do a reasonable looking timber profile, although I know little about timber gutters.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
