Switching supplier via UK Power - delays?

HI all
I applied to switch from my current supplier to Ecotricity via the UK Power link from the MSE email (to get the cashback) on 31 Dec. It says it takes about 6 weeks (which was up last Sun), but there are also supposed to be interim stages e.g. you get 7 days to reconsider, then after another 3 weeks you get a welcome pack or something confirming the date of switch. I haven't heard anything from Ecotricity apart from the automated confirmation on 31 Dec and when I emailed UK Power last week (when it was about 5 weeks), I got a reply saying they would chase it up with Ecotricity. Has anyone else had problems. Is this delay normal?
