    As the water co is obligated to provide water at an adequate pressure for normal domestic purposes they must supply it at a pressure usable at the top of the building. Just measured at the mains stopcock is insufficient to meet that obligation IMHO. In any event water co is seriously hedging it's bets with a 7 metre statement in response to a simple query.

    Otherwise I'm with the rest of your post 100% - of course OP hasn't purchased the property yet.

  • good point, sorry but, what I meant is "before" their stop tap. I've been to properties where the UC have rated the water pressure at 4bar in the street but, the house outlets only rated .5bar. Their lead pipe was at fault.
