Please be aware that an outfit named ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION BUREAU (not connected with a business based near Canary Wharf in London of the same name) is making cold calls claiming that you have had an accident in the last two years in order to obtain your personal details and bank details.
They contacted me recently and tried this. They rang off PDQ when I asked why they were calling an ex-directory number and that I hadn't had any accident in the last two years.
If you are contacted by this scam outfit, note the time and date and report to Consumer Direct on 0845 4040506 without delay. And DO NOT answer any questions or be conned into disclosing any personal or bank details to this lot.
