Ahh.. just realised the problem. Its my daughters ipod and although their free it counts as an 'in-app' puchased which I had switched off

Only for iPad 2 at the moment to record the story but you can view them on iPhone or iPod touch

I got this yesterday when it was 69p and have downloaded all the 20 books for the iPad, I showed it to my 6 year old daughter this morning, and she loved it, the books read out to you if you touch the screen, so it would be suitable for all ages, a great little app, a bargain for 69p, but still worth the £1.99.

That's not a problem with the app, the mute button on the iPad 2 only mutes notifications, like emails and Facebook, to have no sound you need to turn the volume completely down
