Hi,
Does anyone know how to go about closing an RBS royalties gold account? I can't find any information on the RBS website. Seems like they might be keeping it a secret, ha.
Thanks
Cwiff

Simply walk into a branch and tell them you want to close the account.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0

Does anyone know if there is anyway to do this by mail? It's just that I work 8-4:30 so its hard for me to get into the branch. Hopefully I'll win the lottery tonight and won't have to worry about work next week though!0

Just write to your local branch however they will not close the account until there is nil balance on the account. Seeing as you have a royalties and paying a fee I can imagine there would be a pro rota amount to pay.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
Brilliant! I'll try writing to my local branch and see how I get on.
Thanks stclair!! I'm not great with this banking stuff, as you can probably tell. I've had the same account for 7 years then changed to royalties about 15 months ago but I'm going to change to a bank that gives me more!0 -
I work for rbs. U just need to come into branch and we will close it for u. We have now changed our opening hours so main branches are opened every night until 6 and 4 pm on Saturdays therefore u could do it after work. If u write a letter then that will go via a service centre and it will take far longer to action ur request. Just something to consider.0
