  • If you live near a park or some woods a lovely walk/run around together would be a nice way to spend some time. Feeding the ducks is always great fun for a kid. Also lego is a clear favourite with my friends little ones. I think you sound like a fab dad to your little boy and he is very lucky to have you :)

    Are you close enough to take him to the beaches - Weston-Super-Mare, Burnham and similar places. As long as its fine you can both enjoy a walk on the beach and build sandcastles. When hes a little older join look at the National Trust or English Heritage - lots of places to visit around that area and many have activities for kids.
