I should add that I didn't buy it from a Vauxhall dealer, so couldn't ask when we bought it today. But for the last car we bought we got one from the dealer and it was expensive. Is there anywhere other than halfords/ebay/amazon?0

May sound stupid but what do you want it for?
To stop a small dog from jumping through or to keep a large dog back in the event of a collision?0 -

I usually have two border collies in the boot, so a bit of both!0 -
A couple of years ago, I bought a dog guard from a company called Barjo.
It was a perfect fit and extremely easy to put in and take out. (I had one for a Volvo)

We got a halfords advance dog guard for our meriva. It attaches to the rear headrests so there are no poles taking up space in the boot and it's alot less likely to slip.0

I got mine form Tesco but it is a generic guard so make sure it fits your car otherwise you're gonna have 2 boarder collies trying to to do the steering! If freedom is outlawed, only outlaws will have freedom.0

Barjo are often rated the best but you have to pay for it. I've just got a Skoda one for my daughter from Ebay at about half the new cost. Click here for some Meriva ones.
I should add that my daughter has just changed her car and carries dogs around. Not what you were thinking. Can I help?0 -

Thanks for the tip. I bought one today, collected the new car, and fitted it this afternoon!
As you say, very sturdy plus they have 30% off them right now! Bonus!0
