Blackberry problems

Hi,

Hope this is the right section to put this question. I wasn't sure whether to post here or specifically mobiles.

Anyway, here I am. My son has a blackberry. Most of the time when I call his I get the message- please press one to send a text. It doesn't ring on his phone or register that I have called him.

I've tried ringing when he's stood next to me and I get the message, then again straight away and it rings, so I'm not convinced its a coverage issue or that he's changed the settings. I've tried google but no luck. Can anyone here help please?

I've not looked at the link yet but Its a Curve.

Edit: just had a quick look the issue on that link seems to be the phone going straight to a missed call. My son's phone doesn't even have a notification to say he's missed a call.
