Devon Valley Holiday Village - Teignmouth, Anyone been there?

Thinking of booking a stay here and wondered if anyone here has been there.

Can't find many reviews on the web.

Yes I've been a couple of times. It's actually in Shaldon just outside of Teignmouth -a nice village in its own right with a few pubs and shops etc.. It's in a lovely quiet setting right by the river. Park itself is well kept and caravans are well maintained. Best to ask for a view of the estuary if you have a choice - lovely sunsets over the water. Bar prices are quite high so probably best to head into Shaldon for a cheaper tipple. Teignmouth is a small typical seaside town but nice enough. Park is about 8 miles from Torquay if you want to head further afield.

We went on a Sun Holiday and had a standard 3 bed 12ft caravan the last time we went in May 2011- not sure exactly which type. I would definitely avoid the chalets - they looked grim even from the outside! There are some other smarter apartments on the way into the park which looked better, if you didn't fancy a caravan.

We went in Sept 2010, stayed in an Otter caravan. It was perfectly adequate, although it was a bit whiffy! Chairs bit stained too.

I agree with the above comment about the Chalets. They looked terrible, dirty windows and terrible furniture. Mind you some of the tatto'ed people staying in them looked at home, smoking their fags, it looked like it was a step up for a few of them....!

The pool is nice and our children loved it. They loved the kids club and Captain DV the entertainer/character made the whole experience magical for them!

We did go to Woolacombe bay last year, and that was really good, went on a Sun Holiday, and stayed in a Bronze caravan, which was perfect. Heating in all bedrooms!
