Need to book a return from Milan to Garda in April.
Anyone got any advice on the following please?
Where to book?
Do I need to specify times?
Can I have a pass for a few days in case we stay longer?
All help appreciated

This website should give you the links to give you the info you need, even though the routes are from London - look at the ones at the top

Hi,
travelling by train in Italy is cheap and relatively easy. Unless you travel in a very crowded season it's not worth making seat reservations long time in advance.
Speed trains need reservations, but you can get them also at the station the same day, or a day (or a few days) before in any staion or travel agency.
It is also possible to book online on the website of the Italian railways https://www.trenitalia.com where you may look also the schedules and the prices.
In the upper right hand button you find the button to click for the English language.0 -
Try https://www.trenok.com - very very cheap fares to be found there!0

trains are good in italy but don't leave yourself stretched time wise. Timetables are guidelines rather than set in stone
Sort of like the UK really
