Free vodaphone sims offer (ended 18/03 AM) not being honoured

anyone received a reply from them via email?
I've received the 'read receipts' so know they read my emails but no answer0 -
Well i think i've now got my vodafone sim card for free (only one though)
i ordered a couple and of course only received 1 so i phoned (0870 126 1060) (since i got no replies to any emails)
When you first get through the customer service agent will try and tell you that their terms and conditions only allow one per order and that they will not be supplying you with X as it was a mistake on their site.
If you get nowhere with them ask to speak to their supervisor. You'll probably be put on hold and then transfered. They were understanding enough when i called and as a 'gesture of goodwill' (i prefer to think of it as a payment of damages for breach of contract though
) they'll refund the "postage" cost, if you complain enough.
Just in case you don't get anywhere with her (or just to complain a little more so that they do eventually get the message) you can ask to put through to her superior and then again (which will eventually take you to the Head of the Online Sales eventually - if you fancy making sure they get the message make sure you speak to him so he realises that they screwed up badly).
What annoys me the most about this (and the reason i'm telling you all to claim a refund if you only got one) is the way it was handled:- They knew it was a mistake the same day as orders were placed and simply stated: " Please be advised that the maximum number of sim cards allowed per order is 1, this is clearly stated in the terms and conditions you agreed to upon purchase." Not only was this a lie (there were no such statements in the terms and conditions at the time of order) but didn't give you any idea what they were going to do (cancel the order or send one).
- They then proceeded to "recall the message" twice.
- They have ignored emails sent to them (i received 'read receipts' confirming they had received the emails).
- Then when i phone them up the try and wriggle out of it: arguing it was a 'mistake', or that the terms and conditions allow them to change the order. I've studied contract law and having spoken to them i know for a fact that they have no idea what they are talking about and don't even care.
If everyone phones and complains they will learn the lesson and won't try and pull a fast one on customers again.
It would be nice if in the future companies could just hold their hands up and admit it was a mistake instead of trying the take the consumer for a ride.0 -
I have also complained to watchdog about this and told them i have screenshots, the terms and there emails still. I would say to do the same as they are not allowed to change our orders without telling us or asking us if we want to continue even. They wouldn't even refund me0

I chase via e-mail to Avril Blake and CC'ed in info@v-store.co.uk asking them to either honour the order or at least adjust the postage costs, this they did within a few hours paying me the grand total of 12p to my debit card, i'm fairly happy to accept this as it's obvious they made a mistake with the ordering on their website, but maybe the cost of refunding all the pennies will make them look at the problem ( which i highlighted and they say they have escalated to their IT department ).0

I cannot seem to find out if this free sim includes
any calls or texts. Is it just to connect to Vodaphone
netwoek?
I have an old Alcatel which is tied to Vodaphone but
has no sim.
Any help?0 -

who did you speak to? Or put it another way - did you talk to anyone beyond the first person you were put through to?0
