Free vodaphone sims offer (ended 18/03 AM) not being honoured

Anyone else get the message saying that it clearly stated only 1 per order in the terms and conditions? I have replied saying that it said no such thing on the shop item page or in the terms and conditions.

    i got the same email:
    Dear Customer,

Many thanks for your recent order.

Please be advised that the maximum number of sim cards allowed per order is 1, this is clearly stated in the terms and conditions you agreed to upon purchase.

Should you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us on 0870 1231060.

Please accept Vodafones sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.
but then 2 saying "Avril Blake would like to recall the message, "sim card order"."

Although i've double checked the terms and conditions and can't find any mention of the 1 per order limit.

Again - it looks like we won't be getting them BUT why lie about it, especially when the site specifically let you order in bundles of 5.
  • what do the second messages mean. Sounds like they made a mistake and have no legal standing and decided to honour, as they took payment?

    it would seem that way.

as i say, it's kind of tricky to argue there is a limit of 1 when it lets you take 5 at a time. And the terms aren't quite as they stated.

I think someone thought they were forwarding an email that would be checked first and not automatically forwarded to everyone else.

strange... the second email was so breif and informal. Can anyone else shed some light on this?
  • Just gave them a call to find out what they are doing about this. They told me they have changed all the orders to 1 sim and sent them out and charged us for the delivery. They just kept saying the same thing and said it said 1 per order and thats all they will be doing. He later said there was a mistake in the website and it should have said 1 but didnt. Then later he again said it did say 1 per order. They will not even be letting us send the back and claim the delivery back as he says the sim card was free and we payed for the delivery. Also said they tried to recall the faulty orders, I said but the emailed that was recalled was the one where they lied about the terms and conditions, then he put me on hold for ages and jsut came back and said 1 per order again.

I have emailed the info email address saying they have no legal right to change my order and only send 1 without my asking if I will accept there new offer of only 1. That they have to refund the full cost under the distance selling regulations and that the terms and conditions did not clearly state only 1 and in fact did not say this at all. I would encourage everyone to do the same as they have changed all our orders without our permission and won't allow us to send it back for a refund.

i ordered 5 and got 5 today, no problems atall, only a confirmation email, nothing about 1 per household but I have noticed today that they still offer free sims+postage but when you click on the link from their site it comes up with a popup saying only 1 per household
