Electric fireplace suite

I'm looking for an electric fireplace suite (including hearth), and wondered if anyone had any recommendations. I've seen some where the 'flame effect' looks like something made on Blue Peter so hoping I can do better than that, but do have a limited budget as we are renovating our house and have a lot to do. Thanks

You find the cheaper you go with an electric fire, the poorer the flame picture.
If you want a good flame picture on the fire, look at valor dimension, or dimplex optimyst, fires. You will not get any better realistic flame picture than those. There is not much you can do with a flame picture, these 2 go one step further.
You may also be better looking at making up an electric suite yourself as you will get the correct style and look you are after, instead of buying a suite 'off the peg' as they say.
A local fireplace showroom will be able to help, If you look on the valor website, www.valor.co.uk and find a stockist, all the stores listed are recommended retailers. They have some stock exclusive to showrooms and give out 3 year free P&L warranties as standard om showroom sales. They also have ability to get offers on discounted fireplaces too.
Hope above helps0 -
