Bought a triton 10.5kw electric shower to replace a
Redring 8.5kw shower. Hubby went to fit it and says that they are totally different and he needs a plumber to sort out the pipes etc. he is DIY shy ( despite being a spark!) - does this seem right or is he tryin to fob me off?

no that sounds possible - showers are not all made the same, so connecting pipes are not always where you want them. As he's a spark I assume the cable is OK to supply your new shower, as the new one is 2kW more powerful than the old one.0
