Im just after some clarification as im getting a bit confused(very easy at times) as to what i need for a new car radio to work. As i understand it my 206 2044 model is multiplex and i need a particular cable(patch cable) for the Head unit to work so would this be a cable i need to connect to the alipine HU I have bought. I also understand i need 1 of these stalk adapter cables.

Thanks.

You need the AUTOLEADS PC99-X44 unit plus the patch lead to suit your head unit manufacturer, Alpine in your case.

No, that should do the job. Different brand of the same thing which comes complete with the Alpine patch lead.

The plug that fits into the head unit will be the same on both Alpine patch leads but the other end has to suit the particular box.
