right missus wants all the doors changed in the house we live in an old 1890 house, anyway downstairs no problem 2 doors 30" but upstairs all the 3 doors are 28"/712mm now she has seen oak veneer doors she likes but veneer doors can't be cut down on the sides due to the veener finish. also we can't afford real oak doors.
also don't want to reduce door frames down to 27" which is only other size they do as some stuff barely gets in and out of rooms as is.
2 of the door frames could be made larger maybe but the third certainly cannot be made larger as there is a structural post running up into the roof supporting the main roof.
have check the usuals and all doors are either 27 or 30 inch can anyone help me out please or another solution i haven't thought of.
checked
wickes, b&q, screwfix, homebase, weld jen.

thanks in advance

28" doors can be had,but not necessarily in the sizes you want. B & Q do some but are a special order. Howdens do quite a few 28" doors. Not sure where you are, but there is a company called Crown Doors in Benfleet Essex that do all the colours n all the sizes.

Don't know what area of the UK you are in, but I bought my 28'' doors from a co called Kaybee doors.

They are based in North West think they go down as far as Stoke.

They did go bust a few years ago, but I am sure they have all reopened again, trading as normal.
