need help boosting score!!!

i had a good credit score of 435, then i applyed for a credit card and got it with a limit of £1850, but my score went down, i know that it takes a hit when there is a search put on your credit file, but then after using the card for 3 months and paying all balances in full my score has only went up 1 point, still lower than before i had the card, can anyone tell me how i am able to get my credit score to raise faster. thanks all help would be appreciated

Stop being paranoid with your online score. It's only marginally better than a random number generator.

Money saving tip of the day: Don't pay your own cash out for a random number!

Best ways to improve your likelihood of getting credit:

    1) Be on the voters roll.
    2) Manage you banking, borrowing and mobile phone contracts perfectly.
    3) Pay all your other bills on time.
    4) Live at your address for longer.
    5) Stay with your employer for longer.

    1) You don't have a credit score, you have many many credit scores all over the place. Each time you apply for credit, that company will calculate a score at that time, based on lots of different things, using thier own magic formula. Also, they do not tell you (or sell you) the score or tell you you how they got it, or why you passed/failed.

    2) Credit Reference Agencies do not offer credit facilities so they cannot calculate a real credit score. All they can do is guess at a number, then sell it to you.
