Hi, All
Friend paid for a 2 year old second had van with 6 months warranty from large garage.
1)It broke down the first day, and the garage took 2 weeks to repair it (engine problems) - courtesy van given
2)After first repair the van broke down again after 2 days, 1 week to repair( engine problems) - AA towed to garage to be fixed, garage agreed to put 250miles on clock to make sure proper repair was carried out - courtesy van given
3) After another 3 days the van failed again( engine problems), and they requested a refund. Garage now taken ownership of van(log book), but say they will find a alternative van. They are refusing to refund the money
Is it possible to legally demand a refund and how can proceed.
Thanks for your help

I assume this is a business to business transaction, if so only recourse is through the courts.0

The replacement would have to be of the similar specification, age, mileage and condition - otherwise it would appear to be a breach of contract on the part of the garage.0
