I'm acting for a person who isn't well with severe mental health problems, the CCCS have recommended doing a Debt relief order.
If you have a life insurance policy (not endowment) do they want that sending in? Just need to know what paperwork I need in full.
Also, I found a form online which I'm sure is a DRO form and it mentions disabilities. can you put mental health down? The illness is paranoid schizophrenia? On the CCCS remedy you can put an allowance down for pets, so is this allowed with the insolvency service?
Even though It isn't me wanting to go through a DRO, it's making me anxious trying to help with one:o

Hi again, does anyone have any info on the above post?
I only want to know because I know in full Bankruptcy they can ask for the policy. Not sure if i can get the person (who I care for) to locate the policy. It isn't an endowment type no cash in value!0 -

If the life insurance policy is payable on death only, just include a small note to let them know, they may ask you anyway if it's in the financial statement.
In the same letter you could let them know it's mental illness. It's not necessary information and will make no difference to the application as the IS don't make a decision on whether the DRO is deserved or not, but purely on the basics of the eligibility criteria.
The budget you put together for the Debt Remedy they will translate onto the forms for you.
nothing you have mentioned says to me there will be any problems.0
