halifax credit card ppi

Hi everyone - just looking some advice really.
I sent questionaire to halifax for ppi on credit card paid from 2001-2006 and received a letter back a few days later 16/09/2011 confirming they had received complaint and they would be in touch.
On 11/11/2011 I received a final response from them to say there was no evidence to suggest I paid PPI on crfedit card and if I could send evidence to support this they would look into this again.
I sent statements to them showing ppi payment being collected which as a hoarder I had luckily kept. I called them and they confirmed they had received this on 24/11/2011. At this stage I was told they would do their best to look into this and get a response to me by deadline which was 08/12/2011.
I continued to call for an update and they had none. At end of december I was then told that the complaint timeline had to start all over again from the date they have received new evidence so it would be another 12 weeks.
the 12 week deadline is approaching as 16/02/2012 (they gave the date to me when i called) I have been calling each week now as I at the 2nd 8 week mark and they still have nothing new.
What should I do next. I have searched forum for a similar scenario but have not seen any. I feel as though I am being fobbed off. Has anyone any advice if I do not get reply by 16/02/2012.
Would make such a difference to get this money..was paying £55 per month for this which i though was compulsory.
any help would be greatly appreciated
