Selling cars via 'www.automatch.info'

Advertising my father's car through AutoTrader has only seemed to attract numerous canvassing callers from other 'auto selling firms'.

One of these is at http://www.automatch.info who couple this line of business through their 'Dial for a loan' business advertised on ITV and Sky and in supermarkets [apparently].

They demand £60 up front and claim to have clients, for whom they have approved loans for, to come and view your car. On sale of the vehicle they refund the £60.

Has any one had experience of their work? I have found little encouraging news by searching for automatch limited at companies house http://ws6info.companieshouse.gov.uk/info/ .

TIA

I would say that these people operate in the same way as CarData (see my previous posting).

You have to ask, whats in it for them if they return your fee?

They will take your cash and you'll still be left with your car!

I just had a thought... the reason that you don't see much bad-press about these cowboys is that the motoring papers/magazines don't want to jeopardise the advertising income they get!

  • Thanks for your reply.

Their response is that they make their money from the [harsh] finance deals they strike with the customer. People who possibly cannot get finance through banks and the like.

Saying that though, I'm still not likely to go with them.

Yes, I have fallen Victim of this company.

I've only seen one person report as having received any calls through them (let alone sold their car with them); and I am convince that is AutoMatch writing a review on themselves.

Continuing theme is that people are crawling over themselves to buy your car; truth is that no-one will call.

Steer well clear. If you have been stung, do as I am now and contact your credit card company to initiate a chargeback.
