No existing online retailer of these brands is going to tell you where to to source them, they won't want any competition.
Being pedantic, by your own admission you're setting up just an online running shoes business, not a sports shoes business. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -

How are you setting up a business selling running shoes when you have no idea on where to source the goods?? Surely you have an idea at best.
You will struggle as already pointed out to have that information handed to you on a plate.
Best of luck but you'll need to do more leg work to get that information, you'll be luck to find it just scouring the net. Suppliers of sort after equipment rarely have to look for new traders so rarely advertise.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -

i wonder if there is a bigger issue of large wholesalers only wanting to deal with established big retailers. i have been trying to source some items wholesale with little luck as a sole trader and lack of trading reputation/track record, it is rather depressing!0

Yes, I thought it would be easy to find wholesalers that want to sell their goods...0 -

Your dealings will be business-to-business with the wholesalers. Which are quite different from retailer-consumer. The wholesaler will have to decide whether they want to do business with you based on many factors that they decide are important to them and also on restaints placed on them by the brands.0 -

As skater points out without a Ltd Company and track record it's going to be a challenge to get accounts opened.0
