problem with iMac/ntlworld/aol & emails

Have tried to search this forum and the virgin media one before posting my query.

please forgive me if I don't use the correct terminology.

I use an I Mac - and have an aol email account - my broadband provider is Virgin Media.

I have been sending emails to people with ntlworld addresses - they look like they are going from my aol account - but the people with the ntlworld address do not seem to be receiving them.

Does anyone know whether this is MY problem, THEIR problem or a bit of both?

Has this ever worked or have you changed something recently?

Are you using the Mail program on the iMac or do you log in to email via your browser?

It is likely to be their problem. Have you phoned any of them to see if they are having any problems sending and receiving?

NTL is now Virgin and they have been changing the NTL settings to Virgin but still keeping the NTL email address. If any of your intended recipients are having problems they need to contact Virgin or look on their website for the solution.

Thanks for your input - I haven't changed anything recently - but am going to brave the customer call centre tomorrow.

The emails look like they are going out from me - but never get to the ntlworld.com recipient. They can send emails to me and I get those.
