do bt have a minimum call charge or connection fee ? many thanks

They did away with the 5p minimum call charge on 1/10/06.
Not missing a trick though, they introduced a 3p 'call set-up fee' on the same day.
The call set-up fee does not apply to freephone calls or to evening and weekend calls to UK 01/02 numbers for which BT Together Option 1 subscribers are charged 5½p for up to an hour.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
Plus they operate minute billing, and they have a peak rate period of 6am to 6pm weekdays.0
