Just got my letter saying my complaint has been upheld against Lloyds TSB but it seemed the amount was too low so I rang them they said it was for a loan taken out in 1991 for 24 months, I thought I was claiming for my loan in 1997 for £5000 so im off to my local branch to get that info and if they cant find it im gonna send a SAR request.
Just out of interest is this about right for a 2 year loan.
Refund of premiums - £162.19p
Interest calculated up until 22nd Feb 2012 - £250.00p
Total of £41219p
Thanks

Just got back from my branch.
I used the in branch phone and got pushed from pillow to post.
Turns out the old TSB loan system used the same account number but with a separate number at the side eg if you had 2 loans with them you would 1 and 2 after your account number.
The 1st person I spoke 2 told me the pay out was for my loan in 1991 and couldnt see my loan in 1997 and the 2nd person told me she can she my loan from 1997.
Utter joke but the kind lady in branch faxed off another claim with a side note explaining everything.
Any advice?0 -
Hi
I have been paid out for a loan taken out in 1999 .Lloyds tell me that because I had the opening statement showing the upfront charges they were able to uphold my claim On my loan from 1996 they claim they have no proof of PPI being charged. This was after a long saga of them claiming not to have received the statements that I had sent them, and also them referring to the wrong loan premium, which corresponded to a car loan from Black Horse (another story)
So like you I trotted off to my local Lloyds branch on Monday to request the information.Being a business account they told they would get back to me on Tuesday, called them Tuesday no information and so on.for the whole week. I have put in a SAR now. For the sake of £10 I would put one in if I were you.Relying on individuals in the branch from my experience is not great. You never know what else you may find0 -
Just sent an email to my MP telling what had happened but im also going to see what Lloyds say and do about my new claim about the loan I had originally claimed for and not the 1991 loan.
Il keep you posted0
