Santanders OTP Service

My brother signed up with Santander & entered "a" mobile number for his OTP (he has more than 1 mobile).

Anyway, time comes to cycle the 1k & he goes to transfer it back out, but he's not getting the text through on the mobile he thought he'd registered.
Turns on his other phone - nothing there either.

Everyones mobile in the house is now on & nothing is coming through.

Maybe a number was entered wrongly?!

So he calls up today to try and find out what number is registered to his account thinking he'll answer a few security questions to prove he's who he says he is & away he goes.

They say it can't be done over the phone, only in branch.

With it being Santander & on the back of recent lies from Halifax to other MSE members .... is this true?

If so then he only gets Sundays off work, so it'll be a painful cash machine withdrawal & then payment into another account - so does anyone know what the card limit is on withdrawals per day from Santander? And is it a CARD or an ACCOUNT limit (as he's 2 cards with them)?

Thanks.
