Kitchen Breakfast Bar - advice - NOW WITH PHOTOS!

We are having new kitchen/diner with a breakfast bar and I'm concerned that it will be cramped and/or look stupid (!).
Although the room is quite big we are restricted by bi-fold doors so the maximum width of the kitchen area is 2.5m and the length is just over 3m. The gap between the units on either side is 115cm. We also have a separate utility room. Here's the Howden's plan:
Along the width we will have a 120cm corner unit, 45cm dishwasher, a 10cm filler piece leaving 75cm for the breakfast bar width. The bar units will be cut down to 50cm depth so the overhang can be 25cm.
The worktop will be solid wood and 75cm wide and 180cm long with a vertical piece attached to the end of the breakfast bar rather than a curved overhang. Like this:
Any advice, reassurance, etc. will be grately appreciated!

Looks fine to me. Can't see any problems with it at all...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

Looks fine to me too, it gives you the extra bit of workspace you need.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Can I ask where you have placed the fridge and / or freezer.
Your plan is almost the same as kitchen I am trying to get to grips with and am having trouble placing essential appliances.0 -

Thought thats where it was but, I thought you shouldn't put Fridges etc next to Ovens because of the heat!
Is that not the case?0 -

No problem at all doing this. They can happily sit side by sideIf it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

As per the other answers, yes the fridge/freezer is next to the oven. There needs to be a gap of 100mm between the f/freezer cabinet and the wall so you can open the door fully.
It's really difficult to plan as when you look at brochures the kitchens they have are about the size of my ground floor!0
