It does seem to take a long time which i assume can put some people off.

I was on a Warm Front scheme back in 2008, waiting for a new boiler - free.

They came round to do a survey etc all was fine, when they finally were going to come and fit it 2 years later and I explained I had sold the property, they said fine - no probs.

ie. they would have fitted it although I was moving - told me the application is with the property not you being on benefits

A complete Scam! being paid taxpayers money for the parts and labour. In the end my buyer was very dissapointed she didn't get the new boiler (she wouldn't have been entitled as she was on a very good salary etc) as the original survey was flawed as they'd missed the asbestos 1st time round (though I specifically pointed it out to them)

nelliekins,unless the scheme has changed dramatically you have been lied to,ours was done 2 years ago by wf and they put in a combi to replace our 27 year old boiler,replaced all the radiators and removed the old hot water tank as they put the boiler where it was situated
the only problem we had was an 8 month wait,when i got fed up i involved my MP and it was done 8 days later,3 guys took 2 days and they did a first class job and it was less than the £3500 allowed(inc 7 radiators),they only thing they werent allowed to do was removed the old floor standing boiler,but it was well hidden anyway
