Hi
I have been given some shares from work $500 worth and I would like to know if it is better to put them into a share dealing account or a self select ISA? Any advice gratefully received.
Thanks
Karen

It's such a small amount that I think I would be tempted to get it converted at the best rate you can find and put it in your savings account if you have one. If you already have a cash ISA with some money in it ask the provider how much they would want to convert your dollars before depositing it with the other money there.
You could start a share dealing account with someone like Hoodless Brennan whose charges are very low at the start of an account. Have a look at their site.0
