Friday 27th Jan - What small DFW things will you be doing today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important!:D
Gooood morning everyone and happy Friiiidaaaaaay:T:T Phew, the weekend has arrived at last;)
I just work this morning today...I'll be free at 12, how very lovely. I do spend it going food shopping but that's ok, I quite enjoy it.
Ok, time for my cheery, smiley list:
:)check banking
:)check all survey sites
:)packed lunch for dd2, dd1's off school with a sore ear so at least she won't use her lunch card today;)
:)meal from stores tonight
:)dd2 out at a party tonight - I'll drop her, friend collecting to save me a trip
:)LSD - just groceries...from my list and visiting 2 shops for best bargains
:)Think about what I can get on ebay this weekend
:)walk to work
:)keep lights off/things unplugged if not used
Ok, that's enough for me for one day.
Have a great day:A

I've just gone back and seen your reply now:D
As for quesadillas, I just buy a packet of tortilla wraps and chuck in cooked chicken, peppers, onions, salsa and cheese - in a frying pan and instead of plonking another tortilla on the top, I fold one half over so it looks like a calzone pizza thing. With tacos I do buy a pack, I might look into buying the seasoning separately then I could just buy the taco shells not the kit. But the Tesc0 own kit wasn't too costly, about £2.20...and we have a few shells and meal left over which we have for lunch the next day:D
With pasta bake I only ever use single cream - or I used to use condensed mushroom soup - that was a yummy one but I think my girls would trun their noses up so I don't have it now;)
I think my meals are all boring...same old things, so I'm looking out for new ideas:)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Perni - I tried to think of what I cook yesterday but my brain wouldn't have it!
I never buy sauces and make my own, often a tin of toms, some dried herbs, whatever veg is lurking & then a sprinkle of grated cheese bung it in the oven mmmm
I've been using this website recently
http://resourcefulcook.com/
do you have a slow cooker? Often I just bung a load of things in it in the morning - this week I did a pork casserole - 2 chops cut up and browned off, 2 onions, a couple of apples cut up into chunks, a little cider and a stock cube and a little water. The boys loved it and it cost penceDF as at 30/12/16

Good morning everyone, Thanks Pixie for starting us off, Josie good luck on your date, DNMS hope you feel better! You should do the weekend is nearly here!!
Pernicious - Tomato passata is great to make sauces, you can get it for between 25p and 29p and I add herbs and garlic to it. One small carton generally does 4 adult meals, 2 childrens meals. It tastes great even just on plain pasta with some cheese.
Well the sun is shining, going to have a LSD as going to take DD to the play place, will be nice to go for a walk too.
Heres the list:
Wrap up ebay parcels and send - all 12
Clean round kitchen and sweep floor
Take dry washing of of airer
If theres space do a load of washing - only ever on 30!
Meals from stores
Have a tidy round DD's bedroom
List 2 items on ebay
Check bank account - all looking ok, need to do some maths!
Withdraw the £35 from paypal account!
