Any flooring experts out there?

    Hi Misgrace, we are in Bristol, but thanks anyway. I think the flooring looks nice on the website, we are planning on getting it next month but would need to find someone to fit it. Cant wait for it, we have a puppy who is not learning that the toilet is OUTSIDE! lol

  • Hi thanks for your replies, found that article in the guardian very useful dated 4th feb 2006 incase anyone wants it.
    It does seem that engineered is meant for concrete floors, so perhaps the guy in question in my first post was right. Have to up the budget then to 44.99 per sq metre, I did like the brushed and oiled finish to the floor and the guy in the shop said with having kids any scratches would blend in better with this type.
    Thanks for your help keep replies coming as a novice to all this as FTB never had to decorate a house before, quite a daunting prospect. :o

    I'm sure that you could find it for less than £44.99 if price is an issue, but it's worth checking the depth of the board, to make sure you're comparing like for like.
