Non-paying buyers

Oh how I wish EBAY would devise a better way of ridding us of these persistant non-paying, time wasting, bidders.
I presume a lot of sellers don't leave negs due to fear of retaliation and maybe that's why these individuals get away with owing money time and time again. Since Christmas it seems to have got far worse and I'd say I probably have about 25% of my sales at the moment overdue.
I've just wasted more of my time going through the process and one newish bidder has just replied "dsk9dfj" or similar, on the dispute console.

It is possible to retract a bid - but only under exceptional circumstances - and it shows up on your record, permanently. The proper thing to do in your case would be to ask the seller to cancel your bid. Ask nicely!
The main thing is to remember not to bid on several auctions of the same tupe of item - even if you've been outid! My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0
