SAR Letter - Quick Question

Just about to send off the above.
Question is this: i do not have a cheque book therefore is it acceptable to include a cheque written by my wife as payment?

    I can't see why not but to be safe I would put a covering letter in stating this fact as they may use it as an excuse to delay ;) I should stop being so cynical but it's not difficult to confuse the confused :)
