    Vik you need to go and sign on asap. My mates son walked out of his job (dangerous working conditions that despite him telling management repeatedly they did nothing about it) and because he thought he wouldn't be entitled to JSA he didn't bother signing on. After 3 months he still hadn't found a job so went to sign on, to be told that any sanctions would start from the day he signed on not from the day he walked out of the job.

    As it turns out they accepted his reason for leaving and wasn't sanctioned. I know the kind of crap you have had to put up with so if you explain it to the decision maker you may find you aren't sanctioned either or at least not for the full 26 weeks. You can also apply for hardship payments if you are sanctioned, it's not as much as JSA but it's better than nothing.
