Can anyone give me some advice please?

I seperated from my husband in March 2009.
During our marriage my husband left me in sole charge of the money and showed no interest in bank statements etc, whilst transferring £200 per month from his wages directly into his own bank account, which I knew nothing about.
In 2005 we had a son and that is when our money troubles began, I tried to talk to him but he would tell me that he had no money, or he would involve my parents, who didn't need the stress as my mum was awaiting a major heart operation, so as things got worse I buried my head in the sand and tried to hide the mess we were in.
In March 2008 we entered a debt managment plan with the CCCS.
When we split he claimed that he didn't know the extent of the debt. He even had me interviewed with the police saying that I had taken 2 credit cards out in his name, which the police dropped. Is it not the case that he would have had to phone up the credit card company to validate the card?
There is £50,000 capital from the sale of the house. I have been left to pay the debt management plan.
My lawyer has advised me to collate my financial statements for the period of our marriage (10 years) and I have received statements from the majority of our creditors to prove that the money spent was for the benefit of our family and not gambling debt that he is accusing me of.
I'm just finding it really difficult to collate it and link all my accounts together and there is some transfers from 2004 which I don't recognise the account they are going to.
Is it possible to get a credit report which shows all the accounts I've had for the last ten years so that I can clear myself and prove his allegations wrong?
I would really appreciate your advice.
Thanks
Nic

Sorry to hear about this. I am sorry I don't have a lot of advice for you. I don't think a credit report will show you bank accounts but I might be wrong about that. Try Experian (but before you do, if you haven't already, set up a Quidco account as there is cashback on offer at the moment). www.quidco.com.
Also I wonder if this is of any use: https://www.mylostaccount.org.uk/index.htm it was advertised in Money Mail a few years ago and I cut out the article because FIL wanted to investigate whether MIL (deceased) had any accounts that we weren't aware of. I have never followed it up, but it might be worth a go for you.
Good luck to you, and I hope someone else will be along with some more advice!0 -
Thank you Curly wurly, I'll give that a try.0

Are you completing Form E? If so the court only want 12 months of statements for each account.0

Um, the OP has already said why she needs this info here...My lawyer has advised me to collate my financial statements for the period of our marriage (10 years) and I have received statements from the majority of our creditors to prove that the money spent was for the benefit of our family and not gambling debt that he is accusing me of.

If you were in sole charge of the statements and money, how didn't you notice the £200 every month going out of the account. I wouldn't have missed this for 10 years I am sure! No wonder you have no idea what some of the transaction are for as it appears you didn't check the statements.....hope you get it sorted.0

You can obtain credit reports from the 3 credit reference agencies at a cost of £2 per report - there's info about how to do this on the main site. You'll need all three, as none of them have the complete picture. These go back 6 years, rather than the 10 you require. Mine show three out of my four current accounts, and they will show all credit agreements (such as credit cards and loans).0

flutterby_lil, the reason why I didn't notice was that the £200 withdrawal was from his payslip (which he never let me see) straight into his own bank account which I didn't know about at the time.0
