Have a new Sony 3D TV - 3D wasn't reason for buying; however family want to watch 3D.

Genuine Sony 3D active shutter glasses are £80 a pair!!

All over the internet are Sony Compatible 3D glasses at under half that price.

Sony say only their 3d glasses give the optimum picture - 'well they would say that!!'

I can find no definitive information in the form of a back to back test.

Has anyone seen such a test? Or have any reliable info about compatible glasses.

Cant really give a definitive answer. But it seems that 'universal' glasses can work well on some tvs and poor (or not at all) on others
