MBNA ignoring my letters

Hi,
I have now written twice to MBNA to make to make a claim on the PPI I was mis-sold. I was told I would not be able to get their credit card without PPI.
The first letter to them was posted back in Novemer and the second at the end of December. As yet, I have received absolutely no response from them.
Can anyone advise what my next step should be?

And they have 8 weeks to respond so you may be just within that time frame still depending on when they received your first letter. I would send them another letter by recorded delivery (always) enclosing copies of the previous two letters and pointing out that they have failed to respond within the 8 weeks/or are about to. Tell them that if they have not responded within the next 7 days you will be taking the complaint directly to the Financial Ombudsman. There is a massive queue at the Ombudsman so sorting it out with MBNA directly is preferable.

They could always claim they didn't receive your first letter if it wasn't sent recorded in which case the 8 weeks would start when they received your second letter - the chances of them not having received either of them are pretty slim!
